Ok, football, baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis, golf.....

and every other sport there is………I’m starting to watch bowling again. Used to watch bowling with my dad I think…….dang, can’t remember that. But do remember watching it. I am watching it again…..seriously, watching it again. Mostly white……not a lot of color. But it’s fun.

Joanie Weston, the blond bomber of Roller Derby Fame. And my favorite bowler, lefty Earl Anthony from way, way back.

My dad was real good too, and led a church league and two teams. Our living room was full of trophies. I was the pin boy at our church. It was dangerous, but fun. Yes, our church had a bowling alley.

If you live in Louisville the church is Church of the Advent Episcopal.

I really dig the U16 & U14. The kids are really good.
In 2015, I entered a PBA50 event.
I got eliminated in the round of 16, but I won enough to pay my expenses plus about 80 bucks.
Back in the 70s, I bowled in a traveling league. 6 houses, 8 four-man teams per house, so 192 bowlers.
I finished the season with an average a pinch under 222. I was 58th! 222 average & I wasn't in the top quartile!!!
I still go once in a great while. The bowling alley in town is only 6 blocks away. I don't go enough to have my spare angles down. A few weeks ago, I bowled 3 games, had 16 strikes, and had no games over 200.
Extra Note: my first bowling ball, when I was 9, (a Brunswick 10#) was drilled for my hand by PBA Hall Of Famer Jim Stefanich. He was probably about 25 at the time and worked at the sporting goods store when he wasn't touring. He was also a sub-scratch golfer.
