DeSantis wants to cut 1,000 jobs, but asks for $1 million to sue over Florida State's football snub

Instead of detailing what jobs he wants cut, DeSantis spent more time highlighting past achievements and lamenting the decision to exclude the undefeated Florida State University Seminoles from the college football championship playoff.

DeSantis said he is asking for $1 million to let FSU sue the College Football Playoff committee even though the championship will be decided months before a budget is approved.

“My first-grader, my fifth-grader and my preschooler ... they are all 'noles and they are big-time fans and they do the tomahawk chop and they were not happy,” DeSantis said. “We are going to set aside $1 million and let the chips fall where they may.”

Oh FFS by the time this goes to court the series will have been played. They're expanding the CFP to 12 teams next year anyhow.

He wants to set aside more taxpayers money..this time, a million dollars, for litigation because a Florida University did not make football playoffs so to pay for it, 1000 state jobs will be eliminated.. He’s set aside taxpayer money for his presidential campaign but we’re not allowed to know his itinerary. Meanwhile, our state funded insurance company, Citizens, is suing their policy holders to make sure their homes are approved for insurance and that has raised possible investigations by the US Senate Budget Committee. All this as people are leaving the state and the governor is everywhere but where he needs to be because he wants to be president. Ya can’t make this 💩 up.

5-7 Minnesota gets to play in a bowl game on December 26th (Quicklane Bowl) and the unranked 7-5 Wisconsin Badgers are in New Years Day bowl game, just to name a few that stuck out to me.

According to this article, there were not any Div 1 Teams with 6 or more wins that were not already in a bowl, and the NCAA uses Academic Progress Rating as a tie breaker.
