The Therapist's Roadmap

Last edited Tue Dec 5, 2017, 08:23 AM - Edit history (1)

Ego, radiant, glides in a golden coach through prosperous Potemkin facades of Personality. Behind the set Fear hammers desperately to keep the illusion from falling apart, as Despair grubs a starvation living out of the congealing mud of Shame.

Just down the road, Richard Cory and his factory hand raise sardonic eyebrows at each other as they mouth their pistols.

Are you going to continue it, or is this a stand-alone piece?

I like it.

Whether I continue it or not depends on what my therapist tells me next week.

I'm all in favor of being in therapy--it can really make a difference in our lives.

It's gone down a level or two since then.

I'm lucky to have access to it, and to have found a good therapist. Those are quite rare, as I've discovered. Between this and my photography I have a fighting chance of not morphing into Richard Cory himself...
