Proxima Centauri

There are organisms in the air
in the cold mud
Organisms are everywhere - ubiquitous
just place a nutrient broth on a trap anywhere nearby
and you can view even some of their smallest bodies under the microscope

They all have one thing in common
in that they live on Earth

And we all live on a planet that is about
halfway to the edge of the Milky Way
near a Sun that controls our planet's course and happens to be about midway through
its course of life ---
that's if we are to believe the data that we now have.

See, I get this all from my daughter who wants to be an astrophysicist someday
She's very smart, an autodidact from the very beginning.
Yet, she was stricken with full on depression.
Something I never really understood at first.
And it was really hard for us to understand this, what it meant, and how
we could help.
The depression is something we will struggle with together through
is manifested together
all of us who are blessed to be with her today
and tomorrow.
Forever

I mean really hard.
But she goes on. She's working at it, I wish I had her smarts,
when she talks to me, I feel so proud.
I just want her to know that I love her.
She could be not so smart, and I still would love her.

The depression ebbs and flows and all who know and love her
are always by her side because of who she is.

Peace!
