"The Year of Living Constitutionally" by A.J. Jacobs

The Year of Living Constitutionally: One man's humble quest to follow the Constitution's original meaning, A.J. Jacobs, May 2024.

We need this. DUers who, like Timeflyer, are sitting in the dark, immobilized by grief, depression and fear, rise up--and go to your public library, if you still are allowed to have one in your community, to get this book. Or order online if you're not ready to go outside yet.

Jacobs does a fantastic job of combining humor with education about our founding document. ""My goal is to understand the Constitution by expressing my rights as they were interpreted back in the era of Washington and Madison (or, in the case of the later amendments, how those amendments were interpreted when they were ratified)." Extremely well researched, and very, very funny.

He's the author of The Year of Living Biblically, 2007, also well worth reading.
