Patricia Briggs, CJ Cherryh, Mercedes Lackey, even horror or something....something that won't keep me awake at night. I read enough non-fiction!

There are long passages that are the classic "telling, not showing" which is the bane of fiction writing. He's trying to fill in what happened in this fictional world. It comes alive every time the narrative gets fully involved in the events of the day.

It's not intended to be predictive, but a sort of alternate history.

I sincerely hope many more people read this book.

So far, I feel like it is more lecture and less novel, but I will plod along. I had not seen your recommendation, but I just saw the book at the library and was intrigued. I do have a feeling that there is a little too much truth in the book to be comfortable.

I will check back later with my thoughts after I get into it, or finish it.

You're right about that. But stick with it, because he does a nice job of projecting a couple of decades into the future.
