(12,530 posts)3. I've just finished the audiobook version of Racketeers.
To me, it was like other John Grisham books--thoroughly entertaining light reading (or listening, in my particular case). I've always liked Grisham's depictions of prison life, and Racketeers is good for that also. There are some twists--nothing too surprising, but it keeps the book interesting. Nothing about the book will change my life, but it was fun, and I'm glad to have read it.

though she said she thought he phoned this one in (more than previous books). That he just turned to some crappy narrative to wrap things up rather than giving the events though the characters like he had before.
