I had heard a little about the Alex Cross series before yesterday, but did not pay that much attention to the series. However, yesterday, I learned that an Alex Cross movie is being made. Today, I did a search for Alex Cross books and found the series. I am considering reading the series so I just wanted to get the opinions of DUers. So, what do you all think about the series?

I lost interest in that one and all the rest, Double Cross, Cross Country, I, Alex Cross and Cross Country.
The first eleven books in the series, I really, really liked a lot!

(813 posts)Mostly from early in the series. Haven't read too many of the recent ones. Can lose track of folks coming into and out of his life.
He has some recurring opponents, but mostly one on one villians along the way. I'd say they were more like Patricia Cornwell's Scarpetta series.
I went to see the Morgan Freeman version of Alex Cross in _Along Came A Spider_ back in 2001 and remember thinking it was a messy movie--I was glad I had read the book to provide some missing context.
