Related: About this forumQuestion about maternal health
I'm writing a happy Christmas story about a woman who goes into premature labor in Texas.
Yeah, right.
She has maternal chorioamnionitis. She and her baby do survive (the happy part). My current question is whether she'd be allowed to see her baby in NICU while she still has a fever. Does anyone know or know where I could find out?
I wasn't sure where to post this.

Baby will be protected, at same time mother can and will see baby (within an enclosure.)

In my experience, (30 years NICU) mom would be encouraged to visit her infant.

(5,242 posts)3. Thanks. I wasn't sure if the mother would be allowed in NICU with a fever.
Though of course she was on antibiotics from the time she entered the hospital
