Sneakers, tennis shoes, easy walkers

When I was a kid I got a new pair of black, high top, lace up canvas shoes. They had a white circular rubber patch on the inside ankles.
I think they were PF Flyers.

Granny called them 'easy walkers', so that's what I called them.
I put those shoes on and I felt like I could fly like the wind.

Brits call them 'plimsolls', or at least they used to.
What do you call them?

I went from PF Flyers to Keds. I went from Keds to Chuck Taylor Converse All-Stars.

white hightops. At least they were white when my parents purchased them.

Older brother had black ones. His foot was larger then, but I would sneak them and put newspaper in the toes and wear them sometimes.

BB was advertised on Andy's Gang on NYC local tv.

The model for Buster Brown was 4 year old, Milton Berle.

Look for him in there too.

The ones I had curled up like Persian slippers.
