I was thinking today about when I was a kid, back in the 1950s.
On warm summer evenings the family would gather under a big tree in front of our farm house, sit, and drink cold ice tea, hoping for a breeze.
There was a narrow country road that passed our place. Cars would occasionally drive by; theyd honk and wave, and wed all wave back.
Life was simpler then ... sixty years ago.

I hadn't thought about those days for a long time.
I recall as you do, sitting outside in late July hoping for a breeze. The still air thick and humid and the iced tea glasses dripping condensation.

Or lemonade from real squeezed lemons.
