I relayed this story to another DUer recently:

At the end of a mobility exercise I stopped by the CPBO. While walking the halls, a guy walking towards me said something about me being in “all green” (fatigues), then abruptly stepped in front of me, blocking my way. He leaned in close and said to me in a low voice, “….but I bet you are real purty pink inside”. Thing is, he was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and FLIP FLOPS. I was wearing COMBAT BOOTS. I stepped back a bit, raised my right foot high and then SMASHED his toes. While he was hopping around screaming YOU BITCH! YOU BITCH! I kicked him so hard in the shin I felt it in my butt for a week.

I got in a bit of trouble for it but it was worth it because later when I saw him hobbling around on base I shouted HEY, HOW’S YOUR FOOT, PERVERT? HAHAHAHAHA.

All of our neighbors were ooooold. Close to fifty years later, we're still in the same house, those oooold neighbors have died (with one exception), and like you, we're the old couple next door.

It's weird.

Of course, I don't feel like one, and I disliked this "over 60" thing, but now I'm wondering why nobody is checking on us to make sure we're okay!
