What a goof. As if picking it up from the floor changes his intent...

(23,825 posts)Forgetting the cuffs, he can be tried for trespass, breaking and entering. If earlier video shows him with the cuffs, then he lied to federal investigators.
There's enough to charge him with real crimes. If there's no law against EZ-cuffs, no need to make one up on the fly.
Jail time, fines, add to no-fly list. Since he's retired from military, not sure if his benefits can legally be stopped.
If I were him, I'd plead "brainwashing" at Air Force Academy / Colorado Springs / Evangelical Xtian boot camp.
