Any tabbed members help out pander0 on here in our vet community

I gather from our friend that their son is leaving coast guard, and joining the army and after osut infantry gonna go RASP THEN RANGER COURSE. MY experience stops after jump school and I cannot answer questions , then hitting the Eighty deuce S.T D ‘s from the sky. Every NCO in my platoon had earned their Ranger tab.

And I was in awe of these warriors who were tabbed especially my plt sgt no ass and trash in my platoon he spoke one morning after PT. He told us young private’s we will be attending the EIB Expert infantry badge course no choice.

And our NCO’s took us young green airborne infantry troopers we had big gills still cherries . And brought us up to speed to prepare for EIB course doing the week on weekends taking time away from their families that is caring and dedication from those fine men . We were a community and family we help our own they invested into us and that investment paid off. And they succeeded in 6 private’s in my platoon 4 of us made the EIB.

Why I even started to entertain the idea of re enlisting. Then it was hard to get a slot to the course on first enlistment. We would run PT in morning when In Garrison , and in evening I’d start hitting the gym with NCO’s from my platoon steering clear of the bars and debauchery and Airborne groupies that used Fayetteville as their hunting grounds. To get ready for the day I hit benning again to go to Ranger course. It is the finest leadership course the infantry has to offer, I think then RIP ranger indoc program was 21 days then the course was I think 58 days.

I broke my ankle later on in a night drop and was taken off jump status. And no way did I wanna be a tread head mech infantry career after I PCs west Germany sucking up m-113 fumes was not my idea of a career. No big deal I just loved the airborne community it was great place to be as a trooper. So any tabbed men help out our friend by dm do it. Pander0 son is gonna open himself up to this hell yea I’m down with warriors.

It’s much longer then RIP. You only go to it if you are going to the 75th Ranger RGT. When you are there you are assigned to a line unit first. They usually go to Ranger School in 18 months.

Nobody enlisted goes to Ranger School without serving in a unit and going through their Pre- Ranger course. That’s for 11 series.

but I learned long after I left the service that in the Ranger community there is a difference...whether one was a "summer or winter" Ranger. Basically, did they go to Ranger School during the winter or summer.
