The New York, New Haven and Hartford Railroad, aka "the New Haven," took out a full-page advertisement in the December 21, 1942 issue of LIFE magazine. I saw the ad reproduced in a book I just found secondhand, "Travel by Pullman." I think it's worth showing here.

Just imagine trying to find happiness in that holiday season.

I have tears in my eyes.

Happy holidays.
