TURBO DISTRIBUTION 24-4 was an assessment exercise at 2 ports in Puerto Rico

We alerted the units and 12 hours later they assembled at an airfield for transport to Puerto Rico.

This capability exists so that ships can be assigned to rapidly deploy an area hit by a natural disaster.

Or, if we need to bring heavy equipment into a theater in a contingency/hostile event, without fear that they would be held off shore due to lack of appropriate port facilities.

Not shown in this Public Affairs video, me or any of the communications team I was evaluating...
