Combat vets and active shooter training, the nice lady from H&R definitely has PTSD now.

Humor so yesterday after shift we had a mandatory active shooter training class all the yard jockeys and rail head drivers hey were union we were on time half for it. So I work with several OIF OEF vets and even a Vietnam marine vet who won’t retire take his union pension I get why cuz he’s alone he lost his wife 8 years ago and work is his social life.

So a lot of vets are some of the most sarcastic individuals you’ll ever meet. Especially combat vets I’m lucky 84-87 all peace time.

So H&R gets sexual harassment training out the way and wow it went better than expected we had adult action no joking no remarks. Then it went sideways starting the active shooter education so this one guy vet who I nicknamed Travis Bickle who was a generator repair guy who it seems had waged war against the Taliban from Bagram air base starts giving his advice on you need to do this when under attack yea it was going there going down hill fast.

So the Vietnam marine vet very close friend said to me here we go I said yea Farmer put on flack jacket and Kevlar farmer looks at me smiled farmer he just wanted get out work and go drink at the bar. Yet Travis Bickle keeps going on and on about how dangerous Bagram was.

So great guy who I love he served with the Herd the 173rd Airborne in Afghanistan in constant contact I guess the Herds A.O. with hillbilly Taliban was really bad spot . And he is real quiet mellow dude he goes and says to Travis Bickle dude be quiet let her give training and I know it was hell for you on that nice big safe airbase because the sheer terror that the Pizza Hut ran out of anchovies now shut up.

Me I’m easily amused I laughed so hard at what my friend said I had tears in my eyes yep sarcasm especially combat vets.
