Both times were in very early June. I believe that the temperature was merely in the hundred teens. My memory is hazy, but I like to think that I brought a couple of gallon jugs of water in case of an emergency.

The second time I went there was to photograph the former Death Valley Railroad steam locomotive preserved there. Unfortunately for me the view was obstructed and in view of how many old photos are now on the Net, I have no particular desire to go back.
