Related: About this forumMerlin is a crazy wild child this morning
I finally had to get out of bed to stop him from pouncing on my head! Normally when he gets like this I just pull the covers over him and he snuggles up to fall asleep. Not this morning. He tunneled out and resumed pouncing. I've never seen him quite this relentless.
I'm wondering if Merlin is reacting to the incoming weather. We've got a potentially nasty weather front moving in with a chance of icy precipitation followed by snow. (I have an appointment at 9:45 and THANKFULLY this should start until after I get home.)
I'm in the final push to get things ready for a family dinner tomorrow night and have a feeling that Merlin will be making things trickier than usual. Oh well. He's got to run low on energy, eventually.

(27,350 posts)He will be in his element, tomorrow night. He LOVES attention. Eventually Gryff will wander in, followed by Madoc and FINALLY King Arthur will make his royal entrance.
Poor Carys will remain in hiding. I don't think she's recovered, yet, from the big gatherings that happened when my friends from Eureka, CA were here for a visit and that was in October.

I hope the bad weather waits until you are back home safely.

(27,350 posts)I'm considering going to tele-visits during the Winter, just in case, but I think I can easily request that if bad weather coincides with an appointment. I just really prefer face to face therapy sessions. That way any 'micro' reactions don't go unnoticed. I strongly believe that my sub-conscious contains as much valuable information as does what I say.

(93,435 posts)With the personal v tele-visits, I did the televisit thing during the pandemic shutdown. I was seeing a new therapist, I think I saw her in person two or three times before we had to shift to phone visits. We did that for almost a year. They sessions were helpful but not the same as our conversations in person. I only use cannabis for treatment, it's been my life-long self medication and has helped me stay sane so I'll stick eith it, doesn't upset my digestive system like pharmaceuticals do.
Hope it all goes well so you can settle in and have a pleasant holiday! I'm staying home, mostly, this week. My buddy wants to spend Tuesday together, make dinner and play games. Another friend, part of my adopted family, sent me a box of presents so I'll open those Wed. morning and call it good. I opened one already and it was such a great gift, not minted toothpaste! 3 tubes! I'm seriously allergic to mint and brushing my teeth is a multiple times daily misery of untold proportion unless I want to use something that is too sweet, like bubble gum, yuk. Kind of defeats the purpose.
Anyway, I hope you have a pleasant day and that the weather, and kitties, remain calm until you're ready for it.
