Wish me luck!
Bee needs a good brushing of his glorious winter coat. He sometimes enjoys it. He sometimes does not. Well see what happens. If left unchecked, his coat develops mats in his armpits and behind one of his ears, in his lion-like ruff. Why just one? No idea. The fluff maintenance has gotten better, in general, since Fifi has been helping him groom. Its a lot of fluff for one cat to handle.
As for Her Highness, she needs her nails clipped. Weve done them twice before and she was pretty good about it, but that was when she was less full of herself, lol. They are skinny, needle sharp little weapons she uses to knead lovingly on me, and wake me, every few hours throughout the night. I feel bad because she was trying to get me up today (she knows when my work alarms go off its time for me to get up
and the food dish will be refilled) and I was very grumpy and kept pushing her off of me and the bed. I might have even yelled at her. In my defense: It hurt!! I was hiding under the sheet and one nail left a little cut on my cheek. It bleed and theres a small scab. Its my fault, though. I should have already given her a trim. Shes petite, so her nails are very fine and I can use regular, human clippers on them.
Grabbed a bag of Shrimp Temptations before leaving work so they can have a tasty reward.
Unless it all ends in tears and bloodshed (mine, of course).

(5,191 posts)They are still all hyped up from me getting home from work. Going to wait until Fifis snuggled up next to me on the bed and go for it then, when shes getting sleepy. My technique is a couple nails at a time, ambush-style, and eventually we get them all done. It will probably take 3 or 4 of these sneak attacks to get the job completed. And I only do the front paws.
