]Batty was eating some of the tortoise grass I grow for her. Not sure what type of grass it actually is. I threw away the box so can't check now. BTW I thought about Mario for a name also since she has a M at the back.

(3,729 posts)Dont know for sure the date since it wasnt someone my granddaughter knew before she traded one of her snakes for the 3 tortoises.

(18,925 posts)I don't know a lot about sulcata tortoises (aka African spurred toirtoises), but I found this info online: "The African spurred tortoise is the largest mainland tortoise, easily reaching 30 inches (76 centimeters) in length and well over 100 pounds (45 kilograms) in heft. It's amazing to look at that little critter in your hand and realize she could grow up to be this big!

(3,729 posts)Little bitty bites. Shell take a bite, put her leg on it and pull off a piece. Weve had some good rain lately so Im going out dandelion flower hunting. Theyre supposed to love them and theyre good for them.
