Thank you all for the well wishes for Trixie!

I'm going to talk to the vet again. See how much it would cost to keep her for a day of testing. I'm afraid to get my hopes up. I am sure it will be hundreds of dollars again. At the very least, she concurs about the peaceful release plan.

Shit - every time I look at each of our kitties, that thought lurks in the back of my mind. You always wonder how long you’ll get to keep them.

I remember when the first cat I had needed to go to the vet. Badly. To the point where my mom asked “how much have I spent on him?” And I remember it was in the high hundreds. They decided to give him one more chance. And astoundingly, the next morning he’d taken a turn for the better. Soon enough he was back, purring in my arms and ruling the back yard. And living to a ripe old age.
