Gardening
Related: About this forumHello, fellow gardeners,
10 days ago I started my pansies inside, and it seems
that about 80% are coming up. It is so great during
winter time to see something green and growing.
I probably could have more, but due to costs of seeds
I keep mine in the refrigerator with some dry milk for
years.
These seeds were from 2007, and I can always add some
more into the "empty" jiffies.
I hope all you people in zones 4-5 are starting now too
with a lot of success!

(14,733 posts)I bought three yellow globe onions recently to use in a crock pot recipe, and I cut them so as to leave the root pad and core intact, just using the outer rings of the onions. I've seen on pinterest that you can regrow just from the roots and maybe a half inch of the bottom, but I'm wanting to see if it works and is slower or faster working with the core, rather than just cut off rings.
