(121,513 posts)They are a common pest on raspberries and other soft fruit. I've been trying to harvest mine before they get overripe so the little bastards can't reproduce on them. I've probably eaten a few of them but trying not to think about that.

(71,970 posts)i have both reds and yellows. the reds are fine, but something is getting at the yellows.
getting small holes, and, yes, rot and fungus.

(14,733 posts)are having similar problems. Had picked a few, and set them on a windowsill to dehydrate a bit before I tried using them for seeds, and darned if they didn't have tiny larvae in them when I squished them between paper towels to get the seeds. Ended up just pitching em. I don't recall ever really having similar probs with the black raspberries, but they all get harvested in early July, then frozen until we're ready to make jam.
