succummed to the temptation of some mini-daffodils and white hyacinths in pots at Trader Joe's on Sunday. At least I can plant them outside in the Spring-- which can't come soon enough!

We've had some tantalizing sunny days but also torrential freezing rains. Hoping this weird winter doesn't spell worse for the growing season. :

2. I potted up a number of pots of bulbs back in October.

Hyacinths, daffs, and tulips. Alas, they haven't gotten enough chill yet to merit forcing them. I usually start bringing some in now, but I'm going to wait another 3-4 weeks, after we've had some true winter weather.

Nothing beats having spring bulbs in the house during the winter. Especially hyacinths!

3. nah. i just set up my grow lights that i got for xmas.

a little lettuce and a couple types of basil so far. will start some peppers next, and prolly some flowers.
