(9,992 posts)succummed to the temptation of some mini-daffodils and white hyacinths in pots at Trader Joe's on Sunday. At least I can plant them outside in the Spring-- which can't come soon enough!
We've had some tantalizing sunny days but also torrential freezing rains. Hoping this weird winter doesn't spell worse for the growing season. :

(6,581 posts)Hyacinths, daffs, and tulips. Alas, they haven't gotten enough chill yet to merit forcing them. I usually start bringing some in now, but I'm going to wait another 3-4 weeks, after we've had some true winter weather.
Nothing beats having spring bulbs in the house during the winter. Especially hyacinths!
