(123,612 posts)1. I once walked by a rose garden being put to bed for the winter.. It was
huge. Someone had cut off all the blossoms and stems. There were tons of flowers. Everywhere. I collected an armful and took them home and dried them. Another lady came along and copied me. It was a public park. I wasn't in anyone's yard.
This was the last (I think,) beside daughter's driveway.

(14,619 posts)3. The blur (was it motion?) and colors, and everything else give it a real nostalgic look.
When I lived in Mass., I used to prune the roses down for winter and bury them under a bunch of leaves, etc, to prevent their soil from frost-heaving.

leaving car, kids rushing over, so I 'aimed' and clicked.
