First local strawberries of the season.

Red all the way through. Antithesis of Driscolls.

And I made strawberry muffins.

Tomorrow strawberry compote.

And buying more to make strawberry rhubarb pie.

It’s such a brief season. “Real” strawberries are infinitely better than the ones in the supermarket.

They used to appear in early June. Now, b/c of climate change, you have to check to see if they're ready the third week of May.
