Black coffee and soon a toasted whole grain English muffin with cream cheese spread.

I've been industrious so far this morning and put in a load of laundry. Now I'm contemplating the first hint of dawn in the east and a day that is forecast to go from the present 43 degrees up to 84 in the afternoon.

Ducky hasn't joined me yet. He will as soon as I have toasted my muffin. The nose knows.

Perfect temp!

Scrambled egg with spinach and cheddar on sun-dried tomato tortilla. Salsa verde.

Maybe some melon later. Honeydew. Decaf coffee.

Yesterday the middle schoolers, science teachers, and I saved dozens of croci and grape hyacinth from the lawnmower guy. We put them in a raised bed.

We put in rows for onions, too.

Today I will plant various cold weather greens like Swiss chard. Also lettuce, endive, and mesclun. Arugula.

So excited.
