Is anybody doing the "Walk With Mike" (Michael Moore) thing?

I am! Determined to walk at least 30 minutes every day. Here is my yesterday walk -- got up early and walked up by Lake Hollywood by the Hollywood sign.

Anyhow Michael Moore has been walking for almost 3 months now and you can really see the difference in the pictures.

It's amazing how just putting one foot in front of the other can benefit us in so many ways - mentally, physically and spiritually, and yet, I can think of so many excuses NOT to do it!

Anyway I'm on the walking thing with Mike for sure!

The main reason for this is that I still have some ulceration and swelling issues on my left foot which make wearing shoes a form of torture. Yoga, however, can be done in bare feet on your floor. And trust me, when you're as out of shape as I am even the basic tutorial poses modified down to a form which I can just barely handle will still kick your ass and give you excellent cardio.

The important thing is that we find some way to move for at least 30 minutes every day - and like the Nike ads say, just DO It.

It would have been around 1984.
Is it up the hill from Frederick's Of Hollywood? I used to get the bus to
downtown L.A. in front of the store.
If I have my directions correct, we lived on the NW corner, in an apartment
building with an underground garage.

My feet are a wreck--tendonitis, bursitis, whole collections of bone spurs. Fortunately I have a pool available to me, so I can swim. I'm hoping that the foot situation will improve after I lose 100 pounds or so.
