(55,876 posts)A word of advice if you Doctor has not told you, you will have very real & vivid dreams. My Doctor is also family to us so he can be well lets just say not your ordinary Doctor, he advised me not to watch horror or action films couple hours before bedtime (I take Atripla at night) but to watch lots of porn. I sleep like a baby and my dreams are the best!

(4,243 posts)I have nothing else to compare it to though. I had vivid dreams at first, but now when I have dreams they are just like they were before I started taking Atripla. CD 4 went from 27 to over 300 in about a year. I get tested again in February so I'm anxious to see what my CD 4 is now.

(55,876 posts)Took me 3 years just to get past the 200 mark (Danger zone), highest it's been is 600 but it stays between 400 & 500.

(22,057 posts)switching to Atripla should boost it slightly. Here's hoping!

(22,057 posts)Since its usually been in the high 300's-low 400's. My nurse-practicioner says it should go up a little.
Good luck when you have your next test!

(6,755 posts)Vivid dreams is a nice way of saying it. I had terrible nightmares, night sweats, and other problems. I would wake up screaming, so drenched in sweat I had to change sheets. I took it about a year before I even mentioned it to my doctor because I never knew that was a side effect. (I guess I should read those pamphlets in the prescriptions!) When I finally mentioned it, she took me off and I have not had any problems.
