Brain fog with Osteoarthritis.

I sometimes get this fog on days when my Arthur is acting up. I read that it is a symptom of Fibromyalgia/RA, but I don't have RA, and Fibro is rare among men.

I am of the mind that the pain causes my consciousness to drop to deal with the pain. Have any of you experienced the same?

Like I was say, I have brain fogs. I meant to reply to you, not myself. GRIN alfredo Oct 2012 #3

have fibro and although pain and fog often go together, they don't always. sleep is more likely the culprit for me.
but just because fibro is rare in men doesn't mean you don't have it. see your doc. maybe get a sleep study.

good luck

everything else gets short shrift. It's not brain fog, it's just fucking pain.

Tell your doc you need something besides Advil on the worst days. Narcs fog your brain, but I know I'm clearer with at least some of the pain taken care of. I don't function well when it's not.

Clarified my thinking. It also explains what weed did when I used it on those bad days. It changed the subject, eased anxiety, and allowed my mind to think of other things.

Maybe I can defeat the fog by engaging my mind on something other than the pain. The pain makes sit or sleep. Maybe activity will divert my focus.
