Has anyone here used Sleep Doctor for a home sleep study?

Hi All,

My daughter and grandson tell me I need to have a sleep study done for all the obvious reasons (snoring, etc.), so I've just ordered one.

Interestingly, apnea is causal or contributory to many chronic health problems and 87% of seniors with apnea go undiagnosed, so I've taken the first step. Some of them are:

Non-alcohol fatty liver disease
Type 2 Diabetes
High blood pressure
Osteopenia and Osteoporosis
Heart Attacks
Strokes

Just to let you know, Medicare does cover home sleep study costs at 80%, then whatever your gap coverage is.

Here is an article published by the Council on Aging about the Sleep Doctor, and I very much would appreciate hearing anyone's experiences with this test.

My physician had sent a prescription directly to Itamar Medical in Atlanta, GA in early October. Not a word from them. They do not answer their phones or emails. So I decided to try this route.

As I understnd it, the whole process will be completed, with results back to my doctor within a week. What a concept, hu?

Also, if you ar econsidering getting a home sleep study and doing a vitrtual visit with a sleep doctor such as this one, Medicare is ending coverage for almost all virtual medical visits, with the exception of mental health therapy and a few very specific other things.

By the way, I have no interest in Sleep Doctor or any equipment. Only seeking relatively quick results to prevent organ damage from apnea.
