(131,660 posts)So many red herrings! All kinds of sly references to other famous detectives, loved "Cordelia Cupp," and just about fell out of my chair when Al Franken showed up right at the beginning playing a senator. A great collection of characters and a delightfully weird and complicated plot.

(2,492 posts)This deserves to be a series about Detective Cupp....Shonda can do it!
I just don't have enough superlatives to describe it. It is pure joy that makes you want more and more!

(27,367 posts)It reminded me a little of an Agatha Christie mystery where all the suspects gather at the end and the detective finally reveals the perpetrator. I thought it was a bit long though.

(13,691 posts)This was a really fun series, highly recommended. Uzo Aduba as Detective Cupp and Giancarlo Esposito as the White House Chief Usher, A.B. Wynter, were both sublime. Al Franken as Sen. Filkins was also excellent and a hoot.
The series was well written, with only a couple of draggy stretches. There were quite a few well-drawn and interesting characters, and an intriguing setup and plot. Excellent acting all around as well. I learned a lot about birds. And theres music by Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo) whats not to like?
