I'm a long time fan of the games and this looks like it's capturing the feel of them really well. I'll be watching it.

only in 4 of the supposed 8 episodes? Same with the bad guy named Ghoul? Maybe 4 of the episodes are back story before those 2 characters existed?

I can't see there being four episodes of backstory... Seems like a lot for something that should take ten minutes tops. My best guess would be that there will be some episodes told from the viewpoint of the various factions, so the main characters would not be there... We'll find out before long.
