I guess it is what is called a slow burn. It draws you in and you have to wAtch all 8 episodes.

There are bloody faces, gun shot wounds and one dead corspe.
No, extreme blood and guts like on some American medical shows.

The Agatha Raisin series is fun.

Nice to see them branching out. I've enjoyed the Network for years.

If they would lean to speak good English.

Between that and a lot of re-winding, we can eventually figure out what is being said.

I don't think it does. I did get a bit frustrated with it, but once you really want to know the answers...i found time to watch it to the end. There is more than one surprise.

I found The Stranger similar to Broadchurch in it's appeal. Then I searched for other Harlan Cobin stories and found The Five, which I actually thought was a little better. My only complaint is that such terrific stories have such generic titles.

It is based on a Stephen King book of the same name...not exactly the same but very good. It has Holly who made her first appearance in Mr. Mercedes ...she still runs Finder's Keepers detective agency. It was on HULU for a while but is now seen on HBO Max.

I am in the middle of the second episode, and I have put some of the pieces together.
But some of it is still a mystery!
Very good.

If you like quirky British mysteries, try "Life on Mars" on Amazon. Either Britbox or BBC I think.
It is one of my favorite series.
