Great hospital. My brother just had his second hip replaced there last week. No pain and was there overnight.

I can relate to how you're feeling, because I've had a couple of major surgeries that I was VERY nervous about (plus some minor ones that I didn't lose too much sleep over). There's a point where you know you're going to have to put your trust in the surgeons, knowing that it is truly out of your hands, and man, is that a weird feeling! But at the same time, there is nothing like that feeling when it's all over, and you realize, "Hey, I made it through!" You will be so happy to know it's done and it was successful! So keep your eyes on the prizes and it will be over before you know it!

And wow, just look at all the people you have pulling for you here at DU! I pray that you will be lifted up by all of this support, and that it, together with the support of your family members, will carry you safely through this and out the other side with great results!

while trusting the doctors, it helps a lot. Once you are there, give yourself in to the entire experience, it will also help you to relax.
