I spent decades helping people with disabilities find and keep jobs. Look at the Social Security Red Book. It's online. Once your son reaches what they call 'Substantial Gainful Activity', your son's disability check will decrease by one dollar for every two dollars he earns above SGA. He would have to earn around $4800 per month to lose all of his disability payment. There are also ways to have some of his salary exempted from the equation by spending money on things he probably already does to remain employed. The Red Book will tell you about all of that.
