Can't sleep

So sick of this!

Been up until 3-4:00 a.m. several days in a row.

No more help w/the severe spasticity that I have from MS due to a forced taper from meds that HELP. Nothing else they tired (drugs they tried over 25 years again - nothing new!) has helped, just made me a lot worse.

Feet are all curled up. How the hell does one walk on feet like this much less wear a pair of something known as shoes?

I ordered two pairs of cheap slippers that allow me to walk a bit, but not much. Searing pain shooting up and down the legs and sharp pains in my head.

God this shit sucks!

I've tried everything and NOTHING will get me some rest, nothing.

4. Tried that
Mon Sep 2, 2019, 12:49 PM
Sep 2019

It was in a cannabis infused medication called "Dream Away".

I had no dreams but was semi-stoned and wide awake.

The medical MJ doctor tells me, "Studies show that this WORKS!". I told her it doesn't do a thing for me but drain my pockets of money I really don't have to spend.

This is getting sooooooooooooooooooooo old!

I can see why people simply give up w/this shit.

So it's cheap to try. Worked for me. OTC doxylamine 25 mg works, not for long-term use though. [Melatonin is a 'brain cleaner' btw, good for you]. Good Luck.

She is the one that started this force taper crap.

They have to let you see a doctor but they'll remember that you did that because it makes the nursiepoo look bad.

However, NO treatment for a chronic symptom that is worsening w/age?

I seriously think they want to off the lot of us (meaning the disabled).

I intend to call as soon as they are open again and I will tell them that their plans to cut me off of everything I am taking is NOT WORKING!

FUCKERS!!!!!!

They are so afraid of people becoming dependent on narcotics, but if it's the only thing that helps and your disease is chronic, why not?

Mon Sep 2, 2019, 01:13 PM
Sep 2019

If the drugs allow me to live my life and get out now and then, it is worth it.

This war on opiates is plain stupid!

One sad case here:

>>Laura Johnson shuffled over to her coffee pot, hunched over at a 90-degree angle. She gazed out the window, watching birds land on her deck.

The 62-year-old’s spine is twisted due to slow deterioration from multiple sclerosis.

Johnson, of Shafer, Minn., said she could function normally when she was taking opioids for the pain. But after being weaned off of the medication, she can hardly leave her house due to agony from regular movement.

https://www.twincities.com/2019/08/25/chronic-pain-patient-leads-charge-in-favor-of-opioids-despite-addiction-fears/

This story is me in a nutshell. Will I be next?

If so, its buh bye because it WILL KILL ME if they do!

These forced tapers violate the hippocratic oath of DO NO HARM.

Well they are doing plenty of harm, esp. to vets!

I read that 30% of vets that have been forced tapered are DEAD 6 mos. after a forced taper.

Suicide!

Suicide due to pain should never be an option but it looks like a viable option when you are living with severe pain or a progressive painful disease.

The Surgeon General went so far as to follow some idiotic advice from Iran that purported to work as well as opiates for pain -- a Tylenol IV for F's sake!

This idiot needs to be the next one in the Dump admin. to resign!

He is killing people with his stupidity!

The latest war on drugs causality are those in chronic pain and the reaction to the opioid epidermic. I think lots of people were getting drugs that didn’t really need them and focusing on those should be the tack they take. As usual it’s one size fits all for their response.

I was in a lot of pain last year and got up to pretty high and regular doses. Got to the point where my doctor suddenly and without telling me halved the prescription. Fortunately my cancer doctor re established the regime. I guess cancer doctors don’t get the DEA breathing down their necks. As things worked out the pain was from a bone infection and once I had surgery and an aggressive antibiotic treatment I’m not in any pain now. But my cancer is very early stage and I know there’ll come the time I’ll need this drugs again and worry that I won’t be able to get them

Mon Sep 2, 2019, 01:09 PM

I always wonder, "Will they fill my RX?".

So far the biggest problem I've had was with CVS. They actually manipulated an RX I took in for 1/2 the amount. The other half went to ... the person working at the pharmacy and is now in JAIL.

What a shit way to live. Every month I wonder am I next?

I actually know of a person that has been cut off.

She spends her days in bed now and manages to slink to a nearby store to buy Kratom and bogus CBD. It is taking all of her resources and being she is afraid to drive, she has to take a taxi to and from this place to buy these items.

So sad what they are doing to the chronically ill living in intractable pain. It is a heinous crime IMO!

They should lock up these freaks that are indeed killing the disabled.

They tend to see more of the possibilities than others. Often use computer aided scans of systems. My wife saw 3 different MD's who were stumped. Functional identified the problem as Lyme disease - problem got solved.

Look for a national clearing house - for someone near your area.

The M.D. I went to for years began to question the reality of my illness after 20+ years.

She called me up and was cursing at me. That did it!

I never went back.

I was "lucky" to be accepted into a rural health clinic, LUCKY.

I’ve tried it a few times when I had a lot of pain. Didn’t hep me. I’m jealous of those for whom it works. Tried the pure CBD too, no help. I’ve gotten some THC/CBD capsules for my brother who has ALS. He’s not really in physical pain but completely helpless in an electric wheelchair. I’ve been getting him edibles for a couple years, he can’t breath on his own so can’t smoke. But the capsules seem to help. They certainly help his mood which is the most important thing. It’s hard to say if it’s had any effect on the disease. I started getting it for him about 3 years ago. He’s been on hospice twice because they thought he’d die, but his progression has been really slow so maybe it’s helping with that too.

They have deemed me to be a fatal case so I receive a 30% discount on all MJ products which is nice if you can afford it.

I've tried all of the above with no great help.

Sadly, I lost half of my intestines due to NSAID pain killers 10 years ago and I can't eat anything much.

I used to be a hefty person but no more (-80+ lbs).

Appetite is non-existent and now no sleep.

I wonder how much longer I will be able to go on like this?

It does seem to help for a day or two, I guess after that your body gets used to it. Have to wait awhile to do it again. I tried all sorts of stuff when I was really hurting. Like I say I’m real fortunate at the moment. I too ruined my stomach with NSAID. Those help a lot, just can’t take it any more.

You should attempt these tips then you should defeat the sleep issue. Wake up simultaneously every day. Take out alcohol and drugs like nicotine and caffeine. Exercise consistently. Limit activities in bed. Try not to eat or drink directly before going to bed. Make your sleeping environment comfortable.
