I am hoping it gets forgotten in all the other shit theyve done to us and we have two years to prepare to move
but I have no idea how much of a priority it is to them.

(16,530 posts)Gov. Polis is doing a good job. I live in Boulder County, by far the bluest area in the state, although sadly, the property values are out-of-sight right now.

Abbott said the special session, which started at 9 p.m. on Monday, will only focus on property tax cuts and border security but promised more special sessions later this year to address a host of other priorities the Legislature failed to deliver on.
Several special sessions will be required, he said. To ensure that each priority receives the time and attention it deserves to pass into law, only a few will be added each session.......
Special sessions can last a maximum of 30 days, though lawmakers aren't required to meet for that long. Some special sessions in Texas history have lasted only 1 day with the Legislature refusing to pass a governor's priorities. The Texas Constitution only allows lawmakers to take up what Abbott puts on the agenda
