It's got me motivated to poll LGBT and allies something:
I've often been turned off by instances that assume an audience is not only heterosexual, but male horn-dog appeal.
A lot of popular entertainment used to be really, really idiotically presumptive about that

I get more squeamish when the couple is mismatched, regardless of their orientation.

Going by movies where there is, for example, a repellent male star who is inexplicably the object of attraction by "introducing" whatshername. I assume the production was a vehicle for him to try to get laid.

The apotheosis of the genre being, say, Last Tango in Paris.
