In the Connecticut hometown of Revolutionary War hero Nathan Hale, a group of mothers including a Christian taxpayer is up in arms over the town librarys Pride book display and are demanding the offending materials be burned.
Booth & Dimock Memorial Library Director Margaret Khan said the incident happened June 22, when one of the mothers removed the books from the display and the group carried them to the front desk to complain.
Khan said the women responded with hateful language and told her the books in the display should be burned.
According to Khan, the librarys collection is evaluated based on specific criteria, including relevance and representation, and materials are evaluated by respected sources, including Library Journal and The New York Times Book Review, according to the Journal Inquirer.

(1,962 posts)They, of course, think they have the right not to be offended.
Meanwhile, we do not have the right to not be bullied, targeted, harassed, threatened....
Watch them accuse us of being snowflakes, easily offended, poutrage, etc... While they constantly express poutrage, get offended, and meltdown.
They're like some sick parody of a human being.
Just melt already, Christofascist snowflakes.

Hey, Christofascists... If you don't like LGBTQ books, don't read them. I hate first-person shooters. Do you see me leading a campaign to ban them? Naw... I just don't play the darned things.
