TV weatherman unveils his drag alter ego

Viewers in Australia are loving the drag alter ego of a TV weatherman and science reporter. Nate Byrne works for News Breakfast on ABC.

Pride month found him visiting the Melbourne drag community, Yummy. The cabaret troupe tour internationally.

Attending one of their workshops, Byrne received his first drag makeover. Both he and viewers were blown away by the results, which took 90 minutes from start to finish.

The weatherman’s chosen drag name?

One of my favorite films of all time about 3 Drag Queens from Sydney who journey through the Australian Outback to perform their shows in Alice Springs. Along the way, they experience many life changing events.

Of course the real stars of this film, are the amazing costumes of Lizzy Gardner(who won the Oscar for Costume Design) and the Australian Outback (which won Best Cinematography).

Of course at the entry way at Madame Tussad's at Darling Harbor in Sydney is the wax figure of Guy Pierce's character, Felicia, in Drag with the huge Silver Slipper shoe that was atop the bus named Priscilla.
