Related: About this forumSo, this summer, i want to take my first ever "Gaycation"
So here's the challenge:
I live in the West Texas area, let's say Lubbock. I'll be on a motorcycle. I want to be out of this state. I have 9 days of vacay saved up and i can cover roughly 500-600 miles a day on two wheels. I want to mingle and hang out with other LGBT people, or in other words let my guard down for a while. So, where should one go?

(22,883 posts)Northalsted (formerly Boystown, but its nickname was recently changed in the spirit of greater inclusiveness) is supposedly the oldest officially recognized gay neighborhood in the U.S. It's loaded with LGBTQ owned businesses, gay bars, and fun places to shop. If you decide to come this far north, I think you'd enjoy it.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
