Related: About this forumEmily Bridges: Transgender cyclist will not race in women's National Omnium event
The 21-year-old looked set to face some of the sport's biggest names, including five-time Olympic champion Laura Kenny.
However, British Cycling said in a statement on Wednesday: "We have now been informed by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) that under their current guidelines Emily is not eligible to participate in this event."
And now the part that made me yell WTF out loud, UCI president David Lappartient who is making this decision expresses the opinions of un-named 'experts'.
"But is there a memory from your body from what you were before - and do you have advantage for this? Is it a bridge of fair competition?"

Maybe I didn't make that clear.

Just something to consider if you're thinking of bringing up "biology", "chromosomes", "science", or the usual buzzwords.

Chromosomes likely not relevant.
I believe biology and science are.
If a trans woman had the viewpoint (and I'm not saying I do) that she should not be allowed to compete, or that it is an advantage, would it be OK for her to express it in this group. And just because I posted what I did does not mean I am not an ally.
The kind of dancing I do, contra dancing, welcomes and has many participants everywhere on the gender spectrum, including trans, and everyone is welcomed.
