Reebok announced and then quickly rescinded plans to sell a special-edition sneaker commemorating Israels 68th birthday.
On Tuesday, one day after Reebok Israel said it would market a blue-and-white sneaker engraved with Israel 68 as a collectors item for sale in Israel and internationally, the sportswear firm said the announcement had been made in error, The Jerusalem Post reported.
Reebok said the initial announcement stemmed from a miscommunication, and that the Israel shoe had merely been proposed by an independent designer but not accepted.
A company representative said Reebok avoids distributing shoes connected to national emblems or countries.
Reebok would like to distance itself from the shoe, Reebok International said in a statement. The shoe was a one-off initiative from one of our partners. We do not support this initiative.

(114,904 posts)10. If we go with the concept that nations have souls
which to me is shorthand for both a collective holistic ethos and something a bit more difficult to put into words, I'd say that something twisted happens to the souls of nations that conduct an occupation that runs on for decade after decade.
That's quite different from what you are saying.

of another people's land...namely the West Bank.

eating Palestine.
I can think of 500 thousand illegal Israeli colonists that would love to buy a pair...on the dime of the USA if course.
