BRUTAL Wake-Up Call: USA Realizes Europe Left - WIRED: "Widespread, Growing, Tip of Iceberg" - House of El

Europe’s break from American technology is no longer a fringe prediction. WIRED has now documented the same pattern this channel has been tracking for months: governments, institutions, universities, and companies moving away from US platforms toward European and open-source alternatives.

🇪🇺 WIRED described Europe’s shift away from American technology as “widespread and growing.”
🔎 The European Parliament replaced Google with Qwant as its default search engine.
💻 France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, and Belgium are all moving parts of their digital infrastructure away from US providers.
☁️ European cloud, office, payment, AI, satellite, and communication systems are being built to reduce dependence on Silicon Valley.
⚖️ The Tech Sovereignty Package and EU regulatory framework are turning political concern into procurement reality.
🇺🇸 Trump’s second administration may have accelerated the shift, but Europe’s institutional machinery was already prepared.
📉 The prediction: by the end of 2026, the list of European migrations away from US technology will be twice as long.

...since watching "The Social Dilemma." Part of my larger effort to leave social media. No facebook, twitter, insta, etc.

My last guilty social media pleasure is DU!

Erickson Phones instead of iPhone, Android or Motorola. What European country has the most innovation in phone and computer tech ? That may be a good country to investigate an iShares emerging markets account to see who they're investing in. EPol did pretty well the past two years.

Awwwwwwwww, whatza matter? Baby unhappy?

The only thing I worry about in the near future is: will the world be forgiving enough to give us a “Mulligan” after this era is over?

And are we talking about when the Trump era is over?

And when is THAT? When the next POTUS is elected in 2028? Or when the next POTUS is inaugurated in January 2029?

And how much damage will have been done by then?

Sheesh - I have SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many questions about what we’ll be facing in the years ahead. Just more to worry about, I guess.
