Russian soldiers are reportedly outraged as North Korean recruits arrive on Ukraines front lines, stirring confusion and straining Russias already overstretched military resources. An intercepted phone call revealed a Russian soldiers frustration with the fing Chinese, underscoring cultural and logistical issues hampering Pyongyangs promised reinforcements. The unusual military alliance, forged by Putin and Kim Jong-un, appears to be creating chaos rather than bolstering Russias defense.
Analysts suggest that Moscows reliance on North Korean troops signals deeper strains within Russias military ranks. Russian forces are grappling with incorporating new troops who speak little Russian, lack familiarity with the combat terrain, and bring a limited skill set tailored for defensive missions. Russian commanders now face the added burden of training and managing the recruits amid ongoing Ukrainian counterattacks and low morale within their own forces.
For North Korea, this alliance offers a rare chance to project influence abroad, but early signs indicate that the recruits integration is far from seamless. Russian commanders, already dealing with personnel losses and supply shortages, must now adapt their strategy to utilize troops they view as unprepared and difficult to manage. Tensions on the ground suggest that the Kremlins desperation for reinforcements may lead to further disarray within its military structure.
As the conflict drags on, Russias gamble on unconventional allies may backfire, highlighting its dwindling resources and desperation to sustain the war effort. For Russian soldiers, the added complication of managing North Korean recruits reflects the evolving complexityand chaosof Russias fight in Ukraine.

(9,781 posts)"I've Got a Tiger By The Tail". Unmanageable at best. The reliance on North Korea to fight Russia's war is a desperate act. I forsee diminishing returns for Putin, likely sooner rather than later.

They use a Portugese domain for their web & email, but the parent organization, Visionaria Essencia LCC, was registered in Wyoming a couple of months ago.
The author of this article, Peter Brown, is pretty prolific - he's credited with about 45 articles, today alone.
