I have been inside that building many times for meetings in earlier years, and I used to love the feel of the history surrounding me. A real piece of their historical architecture has been lost. If this was arson, the perp should be drowned in the harbor.

If the fire was the result of an electrical failure or some low life tossing a lit cigarette somewhere where it would do some real damage, there were probably less safeguards in place against that since no one counted on either. The interior of the structure was mostly grand centuries-old wood.
