Rabbits and fireworks.

Today I found an adult dead rabbit in my yard. It had no wounds or any signs of trauma, no mange or botflies. I don't use any pesticides on my property. I believe that it died of shock from dozens of cherry bombs and other explosives from the redneck neighbors.

But I can see how it's possible. Or perhaps the rabbit died of exhaustion, particularly if neighbors from different locations were setting off fireworks -- it kept running trying to evade the threat, and found no safety.
Probably the biggest threat to wildlife from fireworks, is the potential to start forest fires.
I do wish fireworks were banned. There are alternative ways to have light shows.
