AFLAC // Does anyone have any advice?

I'm 53 and leaving a 20 year career in social work to be a 1099 benefits advisor with AFLAC
Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated
Thank you in advance

My coworker was talking to a woman who worked for AFLAC! Of course the subject of the duck came up and my coworker made the duck noise. The AFLAC person made a face and said, "We hate that duck!"

and we had AFLAC through our employer.

The poor woman was back at work and recovering from a heart attack and filing her AFLAC claim was like adding a part-time job to her busy, stressful day.

What I remember most was her needing to make multiple trips to multiple doctors' offices just to pick up paperwork to provide to AFLAC, and the doctors often charged her for the additional forms even though they wouldn't forward the forms directly to AFLAC.

After many months of running around and spending hours and hours on the phone she eventually got some money from them but I often wondered whether, if she'd added up the hours, days, and months she'd spent, if the amount would have even added up to minimum wage.

I hope you find that your work with them can help them help their customers.

I haven't sold anything yet and have not serviced any policies.

Praying I can provide better service than your coworker received.

I used to wonder if AFLAC would have been better than the scumbag company my employer uses. Ya know, the one I had to sue (we won) to get my benefit from.
